Ride for the Roses

New classrooms for children at Kurahia’s Primary School in Kenya

The Ride for the Roses is an annual cycling and walking event in which participants take action for their loved ones who are battling cancer or have died from it. Paardekooper Horti contributed to this wonderful event by sponsoring Single Rose sleeves.

We teamed up with the Dutch Flower Foundation (DFF) and contributed to new classrooms for the Kurahia’s Primary School in Kenya. The Dutch Flower Foundation was established by Dutch Flower Group and aims to make a social contribution to the well-being of people in need, especially children. DFF has been supporting projects through Penta nursery for years, and this time extra help was required to renovate two classrooms for 50 children with special needs. We are very proud that we have contributed to this

The Stichting Kindervakantieland Almere (Almere Children’s Holiday Land Foundation) offers children aged 6-12 a carefree holiday. It is aimed at children who spend their holidays at home, for example due to a lack of financial resources.

This year, during the month of December, employees chose 3 charities to make a donation to. In 2024 these were:
