Sustainability in 2024
Paardekooper saw a significant increase in demand for more sustainable packaging solutions and alternatives in 2024, especially from companies that supply directly to consumers. We also saw a growing interest in sustainability outside this area.
Would you like to know more about what our sustainable year looked like and what we will focus on in the coming years?

Vezet reduction plan
Paardekooper developed a reduction plan for Koninklijke Vezet by providing the company with a practical and realistic roadmap for making its packaging range more sustainable.
The plan includes various savings options, including the ratio between climate impact and effort in costs and complexity. One of the short-term initiatives is the switch from composite PET/PE film to a recyclable film made from a single material, also known as mono-film.
2024 was a challenging year financially, but that does not mean we will not continue to innovate and support our customers with their sustainability issues.
You can read more about this in the interview with division director François Olsthoorn, as well as in the 2024 financial overview.

RESPECT,
our course towards a more sustainable world
Paardekooper is working hard and taking a structured approach towards a more sustainable organisation, products and supply chain. Our belief is that this cannot be done alone, but needs cooperation to move forward. We take on the challenge with our people, customers and partners and set the world of packaging in motion.
