‘Our research has shown that Recy Clear sleeves have a lower carbon impact than a standard virgin sleeve or even an 85% rPE (recycled PE) sleeve.’

Recy® Clear
From waste plastic to new sleeve

Powered by science, The LCA Centre
In a world that is becoming increasingly complex, you can count on us for advice on the best packaging solution. We base ourselves on facts, and we try to combat greenwashing. Our own independent research centre, The LCA Centre, uses scientific research to support us in this. The LCA Centre compared a total of 9 flower and plant sleeves using Life Cycle Assessment. In the plastic sleeve category, Recy Clear comes out as the best. Choosing Recy Clear therefore immediately means a reduction of your environmental footprint. The new standard
Our Business Development Manager John van Berkel is enthusiastic. John: ‘The material is crystal clear; we have all the necessary certificates and the scientific substantiation. We are so confident in this product that we are also adapting our own range and making this recycled material (rOPP) our company standard. At the moment the Recy Clear sleeves come from Asia. In early 2024, our strategic supplier opened a new factory in Kosovo where we can produce the Recy Clear flower and plant sleeves. This reduces the delivery time of products to our European customers by 6 to 8 weeks, and requires fewer kilometres, which is better for the environment.’
Recy Clear is our latest innovation: crystal clear and made from recycled plastic waste. This fully transparent material is available in all sizes, can be fully printed, and is easy to process, also on our Terra Machines – the sleeve machines for flowers and plants. By designing the flower and plant sleeves with a slimmer fit and shortening them slightly, we also save material. This means less waste, which is good for both the environment and your wallet.
