The Zero Waste Cup is the perfect alternative to single-use disposable cups for coffee shops, amusement parks, events, and so on. Customers place a deposit on the Zero Waste Cup. The entire process is handled digitally, thanks to the unique QR code on the cup and some innovative technology. De Bijenkorf 

• Production of the r-PET shopper requires half as much water as the previous paper shopper.

We developed a reusable shopper for premium department store De Bijenkorf made from recycled plastic as an alternative to their large paper bag. We examined a variety of materials and considered the packaging's workability as well as the practical requirements that it would need to satisfy. The LCA method was used to determine the environmental impact of several materials, and, all things considered, the recycled plastic shopper came out as the best choice in this situation:

• Made from 25% less plastic, but equally strong and stable as heavier predecessors

• Mono plastic and therefore 100% recyclable

• 47% less energy consumption compared to traditional production methods

We worked with our supplier to develop the ‘Next Gen Bucket’ a future-proof alternative to the standard black flower bucket. We encourage our customers to return used flower buckets for recycling. In 2022 some 37 customers returned 1,010,318 kg of buckets that were suitable for reuse in production.
